About Cheyanne
Cheyanne is currently a breaking news reporter for POLITICO, covering daily news from Washington and around the nation.
She previously served as the Race and Politics reporter for The Hill. There, her reporting focused heavily on how policy impacts communities of color. She was also the creator and host of "The Switch Up," a podcast from The Hill featuring intimate conversations with leading scholars, lawmakers and activists of color.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Cheyanne began her career at the Chicago Sun-Times as the South and West Sides reporter through Report for America. She earned her Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she specialized in politics, policy and foreign affairs.
When she's not reading or listening to true crime podcasts, Cheyanne enjoys spending time with her horse and her two cats.
